Most people think that all cats are aloof and nasty naturally but it's not true. My cat, Kali, gave birth to her first litter at one year. She is a small cat and only weighs seven pounds (nine pounds at the end of her pregnancy), so I was surprised when she gave birth to seven healthy, beauitful kittens. They were raised until six weeks indoors and in my room (where I most often am). I held them at day one because I helped Kali deliver. They grew to be sociable, playful, and loving. All kitten found homes. Kali again became pregnant in August and again had seven kittens. These too were lovable and sociable. Some were independent, but they still loved people. They came to me when I entered the room, ran to me, clambered around me. Again they all found homes.
It depends on structure and stability. Kittens must feel safe and must feel as if no threat is there. The kittens weren't even afraid of a vacuum (though Kali, the momma was). As long as you, or whoever raised the kitten from birth, raised it with love and comfort your kitten should grow up very well.
